BEST TIME TO START CONSTRUCTION IN INDIA

Choosing the Right Time / Construction Period Is Very Important. One of the first things to consider after finalizing a project is deciding when construction project begins. It is after this decision that the time for all this work is determined, which includes many programs including planning, booking of contractors and more. On average, it takes about two weeks to a month to complete the design and other project details. Another month or two is set aside for the approval of a government agency to complete the project. Then a budget is prepared. In addition, it takes about two weeks to a month to find suitable contractors for the project and to finalize it

One of the major factors that plays a role in the timing of decision-making is the general climate and seasonal temperature fluctuations of a particular area.

CONSTRUCTION IN DIFFERENT SEASONS:

1) Construction In Rainy Season (Monsoon) -

If precautions are not taken rain often delays the construction process and quality of work. Construction in monsoon has lot of challenges. During rainy season concrete once poured should be covered immediately to protect it from direct rain.If your backend work is done and the execution starts in the monsoon
then you must be careful about the following things:

- Onsite Waterproof storage area.
- Prevent temporary electrical connections during construction.
- Water pumps for drainage in the excavated areas of the site.
- Locally purchased concrete.
- The Tarpaulin sheets is nearby to cover the area of the concrete
from the rain drops.

Apart from these safety measures the monsoon proves to be a good
time for homeowners for construction purposes. There is nothing to be
afraid of.

2) Construction during Autumn Season:  This is this most favourable
season for construction. Some advantages include:

-  Temperature is neither too cold for making the soil too rigid for
laying the concrete nor it is too hot for workers to work on it.
-  Soil conditions are better.
-  Low demand for contractors which means they have less projects
for execution and they can spend more time on your project.
    Moreover,
low demand leads to low costs.

3) Construction During Winters: It is advisable not to start any
construction work during winters as the soil becomes too hard during
winters which makes it difficult for concrete to lay and set. However, this
season can be used for remodelling and renovating the interiors.
Artificial or extra lightning can be used to encounter the problem of less
day light for interior works. All the exterior work that needs to be
complete in winters should be completed during daylight only.construction during winters in india

4) Construction During Spring Season: Spring is usually wet and cold at
first. So, this is not the best time to pour concrete. Its windy nature
initially in many parts of the country proves to be a difficult time to do
any outside work. Therefore, this period is highly preferred to complete most of the internal tasks. However, conditions seem to be more comfortable in outdoor construction in the latest spring stages, near summer.

5) Construction During Summers: Summers are the best, especially for long projects. However, prices are very high due to high demand. This also results in delay of projects.

Moreover ‘AVAILIBILITY OF LABOUR' is also an important factor apart from climatic conditions.
After finalising the contractor, you have to see if sufficient numbers of labours are available or not.
- Availability of labours is usually low during festive seasons.  Availability of workers is also low at the time of sowing and reaping of crops.
